*Includes Guide for Canon DSLR AND Mirrorless Firmware Installation* Power Up your Canon Camera now by installing the latest firmware for your DSLR or Mirror
I have a Canon EOS 5d Mk II and 5d Mk III. Both worked well with Tethered Catpure until these OS and LR upgrades, and now when I start Tethered Capture, it doesn't recognize the camera. I checked connections, restarted and reconnected the camera, restarted the computer, deleted Lighroom Preferences, updated my camera firmware.
In plain photo mode with display off, the power draw is a bit higher, because Magic Lantern disables CPU powersaving features (otherwise, intervalometer and other ML functions would stop running). We have measured 6% / hour on 60D (compared to 4% / hour with Canon firmware), and 10% / hour on 5D Mark II (compared to 5% / hour with Canon firmware).
My 5D mark III (bought new in Japan, but has been updated to firmware 1.2.1 from the US) can be changed to French, German, Swedish, Danish (which I would claim is far more important than Swedish ) etc without any limitations - my 5D mark II (bought second hand in Japan, and never updated with a non-Japanese firmware) can do the same, in fact
Firmware Version 1.1.3 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.1.2. If the cameraโ€™s firmware is already Version 1.1.3, it is not necessary to download this firmware. EOS 5D Mark III price check (should be in stock everywhere, at least in the US): B&H Photo , Adorama , Amazon USA , Amazon Canada , Canon Canada , Canon USA
