There is a chance, not a great chance but worth a solid shot, that Apple will replace the battery for free or the special $30 rate they offered for the class action lawsuit they covered for any iPhone still being supported. My friend had a her iPhone 11's battery replaced after 2.5 years for $30 because the Battery Health got down into the 70's.
Just because the battery health decreased by 2% in a month does not mean that the same will happen the following month. It isn’t until below 80% where a battery replacement will result in a noticeable improvement in how long the phone can last between charging sessions. First 5-6 hours of screen on time for a phone is still pretty good.
Use low power mode to limit the CPU power to reduce heat. Turn off 5G on your iPhone and just switch it to LTE to save battery and reduce heat. Turn off background app refresh and location services (you can manually turn on location services when you need it). Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth if you're not using it.

Your usage and other factors would effect how significant an improvement replacing it would be, but it would be significant. Seems a bit early for an iPhone 12 battery replacement. 86%. I’m going off of charge cycle, which is over 500 now. As long as it's over 80% it's fine.
